About Robin Valentine
Starting to dance at the age of four began my lifelong love of the performing arts. Over 30 years ago I crossed over to visual arts/photography with my first 35mm camera, a Nikon. Living in Aspen at the time, I learned to capture the natural beauty of the nature that surrounded me. Many of my roles in the performing arts involved choreography. Choreographers must picture spacing, movement and capturing scenes. This is how I view my photography. My goal is to capture the essence of each person, place or event and frame it with the perfect spacing, background and aftereffects that create the complete piece of art. The photos speak for me and portray my love and deep appreciation for the art of photography. In my early days of film photography, I received several awards for my black & white portraits. These were my focus. More recently, my awards have been for my landscapes and sport photography. Currently, my primary focuses are landscapes and fine art. I am particularly proud of having one of my images published on the cover of MMA Main Event Magazine. My objective is to preserve a moment in time with each photo I take.
